Vehicles & equipment for heavy haulage

At a glance

The right vehicle determines feasibility and permit: semi-trailers for light oversize cargo, semi low-loaders for tall packages, low-loaders/low-bed trailers for heavy and tall machines and modular trailers/SPMT for super-heavy loads up to 200 t. We select it according to weight, height and the bottlenecks along the route.

The vehicle choice determines the permit

Height and axle load are part of what decides which routes can be used and which conditions the permit will contain. A lowered low-bed keeps the overall height below critical underpasses; modules extended axle by axle spread the weight and protect bridges. We align the vehicle, the permit under StVO §29 and the BF3/BF4 escort with each other – for heavy haulage up to 200 t across the EU and via the Middle Corridor to Central Asia.
